I just read this on Nichole’s page. I feel Nichole’s pain. I felt it as a teenage girl myself, and I am now feeling it through my sons. I do not agree with the one comment that girls feel it more than boys. Boys can be just as hurt by the actions of girls. The idea of a soul mate is something we all hope for. But look around you. How many adults have found their soul mate? I think that happiness is sometimes found in finding the right person and is sometimes found in two people molding and adapting to meet each other’s needs. The trick is finding someone who is willing to do that with you. Maybe that is a soulmate.

Cooperative learning practices tell us that children need to talk in order to learn. In other words, they need to use language to process learning in order for it to really sink in. Blogging would allow children a way to “talk” about their learning. As children talk back and forth about a subject and share their ideas or understanding, their understanding would deepen.

On a second grade level, the children’s keyboarding abilities are not developed very well yet. Blogging would have to be very simple at this point.
